MarinePlus to Distribute Ultra PFDs with Bolstered Sales Force
MarinePlus continues with its planned growth strategy as a nationwide distributor of quality marine products in Australia. As of February, MarinePlus will add the Ultra PFD range in to its stable and will bring on board two new representatives to its sales team to support its current range and the new Ultra brand.
The Ultra range of lifejackets is the largest in the Australian marketplace. It encompasses Boating, Fishing, Paddling, Skiing and an array of water sports plus a range of Commercial jackets for hire businesses, ferries and ocean going vessels. Ultra has an in-house design team that focusses on the requirements of Australians and manufacture in their own factory in Paradise (Fiji). The unique designs, graphics & colourways have led the way in the market year after year.
For the past 26 years Ultra distribution has been state based, and in recent years Australia wide by Activ Concepts in Melbourne. Ultra would like to thank Ian Clarke and the Activ Concepts team for the outstanding work they have done over the past 2 decades and wishes them well in their new Water Park venture.
MarinePlus is engaged in a strategic growth phase, with recent additions such as BARZ Optics and RAILBLAZA to their brands. The Ultra PFD range will complement the BALTIC lifejacket range (ex-Sweden) which has seen good uptake through the MarinePlus sales network.
National Sales Manager, Scott Miller comments:
“The addition of the Ultra brand to our stable strengthens our presence in the safety market allowing us to provide our customers with a wide range of styles and pricing to suit most activities and budgets”.
MarinePlus welcomes two new sales people to the team, both with extensive experience in the marine industry. Nick Olson has over 12 years’ experience as a shipwright and boat builder. Jordan Trusty comes from a retail based sales background in fishing product but has also worked as a Dock Master and as Territory Manager and in technical repairs at BLA. As well as increasing horsepower in sales, MarinePlus will move to a larger well-purposed Melbourne warehouse later this summer.
Ultra and MarinePlus are looking forward to working together to continue to supply a wide range of quality PFDs to the Australian market. Nick Olson and Jordy Trusty will be based in the Melbourne office and will introduce themselves to trade customers in the coming months. The MarinePlus Team is excited about taking the Ultra PFD range to the next level in Australia.
